Participate
There are a number of ways you can participate in the development of the FAST Standard:
Comment on specific sections within the Standard. The Standard is available in downloadable PDF format. If you wish to comment on specific sections of the standard, please use the menu here to access the section of interest and contribute your thoughts. The FAST Standard is based on the founding principle that most approaches to modelling are objectively good or bad. If you can contribute a better way of structuring and building a model, and convince a network of experienced modellers that you are right, you could influence the direction that the Standard takes.
Arrange for your company to become a FAST signatory. A number of firms have already formally adopted the Standard and more are preparing to do so. By becoming a signatory to the Standard, you are signalling to the market that:
- You take modelling seriously as a professional activity;
- You are committed to the highest professional standards in modelling and are helping to shape those standards;
- Clients can be sure of what they are going to get from you when they engage you to develop a model;
- Specifically, clients can be sure they will receive a model that they can use and understand.
If you wish to discuss becoming a signatory, let us know and we’ll arrange a time to talk to you in person.
Become a FAST certified modeller. We are currently developing a certification programme for modellers. If you would like to pilot test the certification process, please let us know.

I would very much like to pilot test the certification process.
