I just came accross your podcast on iTunes. Well done – it’s about time we had something like this for modellers. I’m in Corporate Finance advisory and am based in Switzerland – would be good to get some CF modellers on the programme sometime!
Graeme – thanks for your comment. Glad you’re liking the podcast. We certainly plan to talk to some Corporate Finance modellers on the podcast in the future.
Listened to your second podcast which i came accross on iTunes. I would like to know more about how to go about the process of ‘conceptual modelling’.
Carla – that’s a great point – we don’t really go into that in much detail on the podcast. We’ll put that on the list for a tutorial on http://www.financialmechanics.tv
(and we would welcome hearing from anybody who has tips for applied ‘conceptual modelling’)
At first I though a podcast on financial modelling was sure to be dull but I’ve really enjoyed these and will continue to listen. Thanks for putting these out there. I’d be interested to learn more modelling specifics.
These podcasts are exceptional! They are very insightful and interesting to listen to.
I really found the Business Analysis Lifecycle podcast very informative in outlining the elements of a conceptual model – an excellent representation.
